I grew up thinking money was evil and that it was a sign of poor character to want or chase it. At the same time being conflicted with the idea that you should work hard to get money and create a better life for yourself. I spent a good portion of my life rebelling against money and discounting those who been getting it. I’ve done a full 180 in the past decade and believe there is enough wealth to go around and that I shouldn’t be feeling guilty because I want my portion for me and my family. If you’ve been putting in time, know what you’re talking about, and can provide value to save someone else (or a company etc) time or energy, remember that they paying for your knowledge and what you bring to the table. We all have worth, don’t let anyone undervalue yours.
